Michael Gold, Ph.D. is the founder of Jazz Impact. He develops and conducts interactive seminars that draw upon the collaborative techniques of jazz improvisation to enhance innovation, leadership and creative strategic thinking. He was the 2008 Paul D. Fleck Fellow at the Banff Centre for Leadership for his outstanding work in the field of arts-based learning for business. He teaches leadership development for the executive MBA programs at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and the MBA program at Loyola University in New Orleans. He has lectured at the University Of Chicago Graduate School Of Business, the Richard Ivey School of Business and the School of Public Health Policy at the University of Minnesota. Michael spent nearly two decades as a jazz bassist in New York and performed with such greats as Lee Konitz, Al Cohn, Tal Farlow, Sheila Jordan, and Warne Marsh.
