Mary Hirsch is an over-the-hill, over-the-top, over-the-weight Swell Gal. She is a humorist on stage and page. Mary has written and performed five one-woman shows at the Minnesota Fringe Festival (with another one on the way this summer), and has performed at local comedy clubs, for corporate audiences and in many elevators throughout the city. Mary was voted Minnesota's Funniest Woman by the readers of the Minnesota Women's Press. She was a writer for Garrison Keillor's A Prairie Home Companion, and has many newspaper and magazine writing credits. She has written many books and is always working on a new one. But most importantly Mary can play "The Beer Barrel Polka" on her hands, walk like a penguin and can sing the score from The Music Man.
