Gerald Richards is the CEO of 826 National, a network of creative writing and after-school tutoring centers. With 20 years of management and development experience at nonprofit organizations, and certificates in nonprofit management and leadership from Harvard University and Babson College, Gerald is a respected trainer and sought after speaker on topics of youth and education access. He is interviewed regularly on these topics and has appeared on NBC’s Nightly News, and CNN’s Anderson Cooper 360°. Gerald has conducted trainings and presented at conferences including SXSWedu, University of Chicago, TEDx Constitution Drive, Stanford University, Big Ideas Fest, and Clinton Global Initiative. Gerald has a bachelor’s degree in film studies from Wesleyan University and an MFA in writing from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
