Eden Bart is a founding team member of the Sweet Potato Comfort Pie Initiative who, along with Rose McGee, delivered 56 pies to Mother Emanuel AME Church in Charleston, South Carolina, where nine people were killed while worshipping. She has a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of St. Thomas in Saint Paul, Minnesota; is a former classroom teacher; and is now a Program Officer at the Minnesota Humanities Center. For over 12 years, she has served as a liaison to school partnership projects, has planned and facilitated professional development workshops, and has collaborated with community partners to develop programs and resources that include developing the Center’s upcoming Minnesota Summer Educator’s Institute with Story Circle being a key process for convening.
