Start Connecting

bushCONNECT. It’s not just a clever name. It’s an event with one purpose: to connect leaders in the region. But you don’t have to wait until May to start connecting with people. You can start now! Here’s how.

bushCON Mobile App

We’ve partnered with EventEdge to create an app that quickly connects you to everything you need for bushCON — a chat board to connect with your small group and your recruitment partner cohort, the schedule, session descriptions, speaker bios,  maps, session surveys and a list of attendees. Here’s the best part: You can connect with attendees and download their contact information directly to your device.

The bushCON app is available for iPhone (App Store) and Android (Google Play) devices. There's also a desktop version. Visit this link and log in with the same email you used to register for bushCON. Reminder: If you had last year's app, un-install it before you get the new one, to make sure everything runs smoothly.

Ticket Exchange

Instead of pre-registering for sessions or just walking into whichever session interests you, we randomly assign all attendees to each of the three scheduled sessions throughout the day. You may think we’re crazy for doing this, but hear us out. We do the ticket exchange for two reasons: 1) It gives attendees a reason to connect with one another; and 2) it creates a unique, un-conference-like learning experience. If you like the sessions we assign you, just go about your day. If there are other sessions you’re hankering to attend, you can exchange tickets with other bushCON attendees.

Give it a try. You just might like it.

You can exchange tickets on the event app, before April 28. After that, you can also exchange tickets at the event via our ticket boards or by trading with fellow attendees. Just make sure you only trade within your color path (orange, blue or green) and for the same session time (1, 2 or 3). So you can trade an Orange Session 1 for an Orange Session1, a Blue Session 2 for a Blue Session 2, etc. Onward!

Twitter - #bushCON

Follow all the bushCON buzz, updates and day-of action on Twitter with the #bushCON hashtag. Connect with attendees and speakers, share what you’re learning and post pictures.

Network Map

Within a week of registering for bushCON, you’ll receive an email with a link to our Network Mapping project, inviting you to log in and look at a list of attendees and tell us how you’re connected to other individuals. You'll get an idea of who’s coming and see who you might want to meet. Ultimately you'll help us illustrate our collective connections! At the event, you can explore the map and look at who else you may want to know.

The Network Zone

We want to make networking fun and give you lots of ways to mingle with other guests! So we created The Network Zone. We’re expanding it throughout the building this year, and activities will range from having a Pollen Midwest artist draw your very own careercature, to doing fun art projects with Ready Go. Have fun exploring!
